About Us Page
Creating a fun, unique, dynamic "About Us" page for the company

Overview
This project aimed to create a dynamic and engaging "About Us" page for ApricotLaw, a remote-first company. The solution was an interactive Zoom call clone that effectively showcases the team's personalities, inspirations, and talents, functional on both web and mobile.
The Challenge
The challenge was to create an "About Us" page that stood out from the typical, often boring, formats. Inspiration was drawn from unique examples like Lateral Inc., RKH, and Electric Pulp to find a way to differentiate ApricotLaw's page.
My Role
As the designer, I was responsible for: Conducting an audit of industry-leading "About Us" pages. Facilitating team workshops in FigJam to gather internal input. Developing the concept of a Zoom-inspired interactive experience. Building a cohesive design framework in Figma. Partnering with the developer to ensure feasibility and maintainability. Delivering polished, annotated Figma files and interaction guidelines.
Solution
I decided on a Zoom clone. ApricotLaw is a remote-first company, employing people from all over the world. They live on Zoom, and have never met in real life. Zoom is their coffee break room, their huddle room, their whiteboard room, their Monday morning catch-up room. So it made sense to me to create a fun, interactive clone to showcase our personalities.
The Process
Audit & Research
A comprehensive audit of industry-leading “About Us” pages was conducted, analyzing various approaches to team introductions. Competitors and standout examples like Electric Pulp, Lateral Inc., and RKH were evaluated to identify what resonated and how ApricotLaw could differentiate itself. Team workshops were facilitated in FigJam to gather internal input, inspiration, and must-haves.
Ideation & Concept Development
Research insights were synthesized with company culture, landing on the concept of a Zoom-inspired interactive experience. It was recognized that, as a remote-first company, ApricotLaw’s day-to-day interactions happen almost exclusively via Zoom, making it the perfect metaphor for team dynamics. Multiple layout concepts were sketched and prototyped to balance personality, functionality, and whimsy.

System Creation
A cohesive design framework was built in Figma to support the interactive Zoom clone: Custom avatars and profile cards for each team member. Consistent spacing and layout grid for seamless responsiveness. Playful visual elements and easter eggs to inject personality. Accessible design considerations (contrast ratios, scalable touchpoints).

Collaboration & Developer Partnership
I partnered closely with our developer to ensure the design was both feasible and maintainable. Solutions were prioritized that allowed easy content updates without ongoing dev support — ensuring the team could add or remove members autonomously as staffing changed.
Handoff & Implementation
Polished, annotated Figma files were delivered, complete with interaction guidelines and component specs. Open communication was maintained throughout implementation, conducting QA to ensure the design translated smoothly across both web and mobile.
The Solution
The solution is an interactive "About Us" page that mimics a Zoom call, reflecting ApricotLaw's remote-first culture. It features: Custom avatars and profiles for each team member. Interactive elements and easter eggs to showcase personality. A responsive design that works seamlessly on web and mobile.

Reflection
This project became a creative playground, allowing space to explore unique, joyful interactions outside of typical revenue-driven constraints. It resulted in a fun, functional page that not only represented our team’s personalities but also embodied the remote culture of ApricotLaw. Team engagement was high, and the collaborative process underscored the value of designing with cultural context in mind.
